Is the beta really free?
Yes. During the beta period, all features are free with generous rate limits (100 operations/day). No credit card is required. We want developers to build with confidence before we introduce paid tiers.
What happens when the beta ends?
Beta users will receive advance notice and a grace period. Your existing API keys will continue to work. We expect to offer a generous free tier even after paid plans launch.
Can I use the API in production?
Yes! The beta API is production-ready. We use semantic versioning and will not make breaking changes to v1 endpoints. Rate limits are the main constraint.
What counts as one operation?
Each sign or verify call counts as one operation. Batch operations count each file individually. Trust lookups and badge requests do not count toward your limit.
How do I get higher rate limits?
During beta, use an API key to get 100/day (vs 10/day without a key). For higher limits, join the Pro waitlist or contact us for enterprise access.
